Reports suggest that Boakai has been collaborating with lawmakers from both the ruling party and George Weah’s Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) in an effort to gather signatures aimed at ousting the Speaker. This assertion has been denied in the past, especially when pictures of Boakai and Koffa meeting together were shown. Nevertheless, information suggests that plans to remove Speaker Koffa are still in motion.
Insiders claim that the government has already secured several signatures and is only eight away from achieving their goal. Meanwhile, there are also indications of political maneuvering aimed at impeaching President Boakai himself. Sources reveal that an impeachment bill is reportedly being drafted by members of the opposition CDC and other lawmakers, set to be introduced in the legislature.
