In a bold move, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia, has taken immediate action by relieving Madam Carmerna Cephas Yeke from her position as Deputy Director General of the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP). This decision comes as a result of Madam Yeke’s gross insubordination towards the Office of the President.
Madam Yeke’s failure to adhere to the high standards of conduct expected of a public servant has led to her prompt removal from the post. While President Boakai acknowledges her past service to the Corporation, he firmly believes that any behavior contrary to the best interests of the country cannot be tolerated.
The President wants to assure the public that this decision was made with utmost confidence and in the best interest of the Corporation. President Boakai remains unwavering in his commitment to upholding the principles of integrity and accountability in all aspects of governance. He will continue to ensure that public servants adhere to the highest standards of conduct.
