MONROVIA – In a recent press release, the newly appointed Director of the Executive Protection Force (EPS) has issued an order for the immediate arrest of Pepsi Yeke, the former Director of the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) under President George Weah’s administration.

The EPS Director claims that Yeke is armed and dangerous, and has instructed all security personnel to apprehend him.

According to the EPS Director, Pepsi Yeke is allegedly in possession of a Norinco 22 pistol, bearing the serial number 97344. This revelation has raised concerns about public safety, prompting the EPS to take swift action in order to prevent any potential harm.

The EPS Director emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order within the country, stating that no individual, regardless of their previous position or influence, is above the law. The EPS is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the President, and this arrest order is a testament to their dedication.

Pepsi Yeke, who served as the Director of LACE during President Weah’s tenure, has not yet responded to these allegations. It remains unclear why he would be in possession of a firearm and what his intentions may be.

The EPS, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, has launched a thorough investigation into the matter. They are determined to uncover the truth behind Yeke’s alleged possession of the Norinco 22 pistol and any potential threats he may pose to the public.

The EPS’ statement gives no other details.
