Monrovia – In a recent local radio interview, prominent CDC members Ishaka Sheriff and Jemima Dassie have declared that former President George Weah will receive a rapturous homecoming on his return to Liberia. The CDC officials made it clear that this time around, Weah will use the Presidential VIP Launch at the RIA (Roberts International Airport) upon his arrival, regardless of any obstacles.
They emphasized that they will officially informed the Government on Weah arrival but said this action is not a request for permission but a declaration of their party’s right to use the VIP launch. They also dismissed any association of the VIP launch with Joe Boakai, the current president, stating that it was built using public funds.
The former ruling party, the CDC, is making preparations for the highly anticipated return of their party leader, George Weah, to Liberia. After a vacation in the United States, Weah is expected to arrive next week, which has sparked speculation and excitement within the party and the country.
