The Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission announces a hearing set for June 13 on accountability for war and economic crimes in Liberia. The session will focus on the country’s civil wars’ impact on its people and economy, and the establishment of the Office of a War and Economic Crimes Court.
Liberian investigative journalist Lyndon J. Ponnie, Sr. reports that the hearing will take place at 10:30am in the 2360 Rayburn House Office Building and will be a hybrid event. Members of Congress are expected to be present in person, while witnesses have the option to participate in person or remotely via Cisco WebEx.
