Monrovia, Liberia – In a recent development, the court has made a decision regarding the Assets Recovery Team’s efforts to retrieve Gracious Ride’s vehicles. Gracious Ride, acting as the petitioner, appealed to the Justice in Chamber Yussif Kabah to intervene and stop the Assets Recovery Team. However, the Justice Kabah has denied the petitioner’s request for a writ and has instead ordered the Assets Recovery Team to proceed with their actions in accordance with the law.
Initially, the court gave Gracious Ride’s management a 5-day ultimatum to present all relevant documents.
However, despite an amendment made by the management in their request to prohibit the taskforce’s work, the court, represented by the associate justice, deemed it insufficient to grant their request for a halt in the operation of the Assets Recovery taskforce.
