Breaking News: Assets Recovery Team Faces Embarrassment As GSA Certifies Patrick Sudue’s Car Ownership, Orders Return And End To Harassment

Cllr. Martin, Chair of the Taskforce

Monrovia, Liberia – The Assets Recovery Team has faced another setback as the General Services Agency (GSA) has certified that Patrick Sudue properly obtained the car in question. The GSA has ordered the Assets Recovery Team to return the car to Sudue immediately and to cease any further harassment.

This development comes just days after the Assets Recovery Team which was established by Liberia’s new President Joesph Boakai initially seized the car, claiming that Sudue had acquired it through illegitimate means.

However, the GSA’s certification has now proven otherwise, leaving the Assets Recovery Team red-faced for their hasty actions.

The case surrounding the car has been a contentious one, with conflicting claims and allegations. The Assets Recovery Team had been investigating Sudue’s ownership of the car, suspecting foul play. However, their actions have now been deemed unwarranted, and former Police Director”s rights to the vehicle have been upheld by the GSA.

The Assets Recovery Team now faces scrutiny and questions regarding their handling of the case. The public demands transparency and accountability, as this second incident raises doubts about their credibility and adherence to due process.

Patrick Sudue, the rightful owner of the car, expressed relief upon receiving the news of the GSA’s decision. He emphasized the importance of establishing the truth and clearing his name from any false accusations. He had decided to initiate a lawsuit against the Asset Recovery Team which turned a ‘hunting dog’ in recent days harassing and intimidating peaceful citizens.

The opposition CDC Party had declared the action of the Asset Recovery Team unwarranted and illegal and against its members and supoorters thereby threatening reaction if the Joseph Boakai government continue to target the CDC.

With this latest development, the Assets Recovery Team finds itself in a precarious position, needing to rectify its mistakes and rebuild public trust. The impact of this incident on their reputation and future operations remains to be seen.

As the situation unfolds, the public awaits further updates and actions taken by both Patrick Sudue and the Assets Recovery Team. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of thorough investigations and adherence to legal protocols in ensuring justice and fairness for all parties involved. Documents, courtesy of KOK.
